Bak Kee Yong Chuan started as a roadside stall selling Teochew Satay Bee Hoon in the early 60s’ of Singapore. The late founder Mr Lee perfected his own satay bee hoon sauce recipe using 20 types of spices and ingredients. Over time, their Traditional Teochew Satay Bee Hoon stall shifted to 85 Redhill hawker center. Due to overwhelming acceptance of Bak Kees’ Satay Bee Hoon premix, Bak Kee Yong Chuan Food Factory was founded. Today, other than the award-winning Teochew Satay Bee Hoon, they also manufacture Laska, Curry, Sambal and Seafood Sambal paste.
Bak kee satay bee hoon was awarded countless times, not to mentionwrite ups and media coverageof the unique local cuisine. Satay bee hoon was invented by teochew immigrants to Singapore in the early days.Satay bee hoonsauce is a chilli-based peanut sauce very similar to the one served withsatay. Thesataysauce is spread on top of rice vermicelli.
